A. Doyle Early, Jr.                  

Doyle Early is licensed to practice law in North Carolina.  Mr. Early was graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Political Science in 1965, and was graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1967.  After six months active duty with the Army National Guard, Mr. Early began practicing with Bob Bencini, Frank Wyatt and Bill Harris, and is a senior partner in Wyatt Early Harris & Wheeler, L.L.P. in High Point, North Carolina.

Mr. Early is a member of the High Point, 18th Judicial, North Carolina State and American Bar Associations, and has served as President of the High Point and 18th Judicial Bar Associations.  He is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar and has served as Chair of the Ethics Committee.  He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has served as Treasurer, and Past President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Mr. Early has written and presented manuscripts for the North Carolina Bar Foundation and Wake Forest University School of Law on topics including valuation of professional associations, closely-held corporations and pensions, protecting business interests, use and cross-examination of expert witnesses, dependency in alimony cases, counsel fees, tax consequences in the transfer of retirement benefits, status of stock options as marital property, pitfalls in the equitable distribution statute, and active and passive appreciation of marital and separate property.  Mr. Early has written several articles for The Family Forum, a newsletter of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.

Mr. Early is certified as a Family Law Arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and completed the mediation training for family and divorce mediation in North Carolina.  Mr. Early’s practice is limited to family law and he practices primarily in Guilford County, but also in Davidson and Randolph Counties.  Mr. Early has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in the “Best Lawyers in America” publication.
